The Wild Rules
With Wild Chess we mean that you have the same rules as in Chess but with a
different starting position. Also the castling rules are different in certain types of
Wild Chess.
On Wildchess.org we support 9 types of Wild Chess variants. They are listed at the right.
The most popular Wild variant is Fischer Random. In this variant the usual set of pieces is
arranged randomly on the first and eighth ranks, with the constraint that Black's arrangement
is always a mirror image of White's. Castling is permitted.

This database offers you possibilities of browsing through thousands of games played
by the strongest players on FICS. We also included some games
we uploaded ourselves. These include games played on the internet and famous games played on the board.
You can browse the games, search for specific players or explore the openings.
It is possible to download games in PGN format as well. If you
logon you can also add games to your
favourites, rate games and give your comment on games. Enjoy!
